Christophe Billon Cote Rotie 'La Brocarde' 2020La Brocarde is a locality of the appellation located in Cte Brune. The classic steep hillside of La Brocarde is composed of clay and iron oxide along with granite, mica, schist rock and limestone soils giving this wine a dark and tannic profile. A blend of Syrah (97%) and Viognier (3%), La Brocarde undergoes fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks before going into new french barriques for 26 months. I needed this badly as I often got irritated with the kids for putting the sponge back in the soap/scrubber dish and it was always full of water. Letting it set over night and in the morning I remembered the tip another reviewer wrote to push the tray down STRONG until it CLICKS into the holders. Then it was completely sturdy and firm and I've used it long enough to know I'm very happy for this small perfectly practical way to hold my sink tools. So glad I chose this much less expensive simple one.
