Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. These are the terrible. They keep falling down. The bottom part doesn't stay tight so it keeps turning making it in possible to stay standing. Its the absolute worst!
