We put these on without socks; the booties are not lined with fleece but has a firm sole. I got the 0-3 months size for my 3 month old and thereโ€™s still a little bit of room to grow. Easy to put on babyโ€™s wiggling feet and there are two snap buttons to select for fit. Thereโ€™s really no grip on these so not sure how they hold up for walking. The fleece is plush and seems to keep babyโ€™s feet warm.
